Beware the orange of the Dynamo

Tonight's the night
The Dynamo held off CSD Municipal to earn a 0-0 draw in Guatemala last week. The second game of the Champions' Cup quarterfinal series is tonight at Robertson Stadium, 7:30 pm. Parking lots open at 5:30 pm, gates at 6:30 pm. Kids under 12 get in FREE -- 1 child per paid adult ticket. The game will be broadcast on Fox Soccer Channel and 790 AM.

A tie at the end of regulation means 30 minutes of overtime (followed by PKs if needed). Winner advances to play Deportivo Saprissa (Costa Rica) or Atlante (Mexico) in the semifinals (April 1-3 and April 8-10). DC United beat Harbourview (Jamaica) Tuesday 5-0 (6-1 aggregate) to advance to the other semi. They'll face the winner of the Motagua/Pachuca series that concludes tomorrow night.

The first game of the 2008 MLS season is Saturday, March 29 against the Revolution in Massachusetts. Game airs live on Fox Soccer Channel at 6:30 pm.

The Dynamo's first home game will be Sunday, April 6 against FC Dallas. Kickoff at 2 pm. For just $64.95, you can get four south endzone tickets (not the Texian Army/El Battalon side). First 10,000 fans to enter the stadium receive a commemorative championship hat compliments of Infinity Insurance.

Stars & Stripes update
U23 men's:
The boys won their group, with a little help from Dyna-men Stu Holden and Patrick Ianni, and face Canada Thursday night in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament. Game airs at 7 pm on Fox Soccer Channel. If they win, they earn a berth to the 2008 Olympics in Beijing in August ... and they'll get to play the winner of the Guatemala/Honduras semi on Sunday. More about the team at http://www.ussoccer.com/teams/youth/u-23mnt/index.jsp.html.

The US women won the Algarve Cup for the sixth time, defeating Denmark 2-1 in the final. Next month, they head to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico (across the river from El Paso, TX) for the 6-team Olympic qualifying tournament. They face Jamaica on April 4 and Mexico on April 6. The other group includes Canada, Trinidad & Tobago and Costa Rica. Top two from each group advance to the semis. Semifinal winners earn Olympic slots.

The US men take on Poland next Wednesday in Krakow in an international friendly. Game airs live on Fox Soccer Channel at 2:30 pm. Roster has not yet been announced.

Keeper Query
Big shout out to Luis Arandia for the correct answer to the last query: the person on the all-time US Soccer scoring list who's got a connection to the Dynamo is coach Dominic Kinnear, who scored 9 goals for the Stars & Stripes in 54 caps. He's tied for 16th on the all-time list (along with Alexi Lalas, Josh Wolff, Clint Dempsey and Jovan Kirovski).

This week's query: Of the 8 teams participating in the 2008 CONCACAF Champions' Cup, how many have won the tournament? And which of those teams has the most Champions' Cup titles? First to answer correctly after 9 am CT wins a Dynamo water bottle. Email keeper@keepernotes.com.
