US women battle for Olympic berth today

World Cup qualifying begins for US men
The US meets the winner of Grenada and Guyana in a home-and-home series June 13 and 20. If the US wins that series, they open the four-team, six-match round robin semifinal competition August 18 in Jamaica or Haiti. The first home game would be September 4. For the full sked, see

WUSA Summer Soccer Festivals
The world’s greatest female soccer players will be featured in two weekend soccer festivals: June 17-20 at the Nat'l Sports Center in Blaine, MN and June 24-27 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. Each festival will include two WUSA matches and various soccer-themed events; nearly 100 WUSA players are scheduled to participate, plus a select group of international players.
