HWSA scholarships for 2004 grads
Houston Women's Soccer Association awards three $1000 scholarships each year to Houston area female high school soccer players who will be attending college in the fall. Application deadline is this Monday, April 26. See

US teams on TV
The US women face Brazil this Saturday in Birmingham. The game airs live on ESPN2 at 11:55 am. The US men take on Mexico in Dallas on April 28. The game will be shown live on Telemundo next Wednesday at 7:30 pm. See

Houston WPSL opening weekend May 1-2
The Houston Stars kick off the 2004 season May 1 against the Elk Grove Pride. The game will be played at the Soccer World Center complex in Richmond. The roster includes former WUSA player Michaella Rooney and Greek national teamer Sophia Smith, plus 5 A&M players: Emma Smith, Shannon Labhart, Emily DeWoody, Carrie Berend and Christina Echavarry.
