Austin Posse vs Tigres
The Austin Posse will play exhibitions during
2004 as they pursue professional affiliation for 2005.
Saturday night the Posse face Tigres of Mexico's 1st

2004 HWSA scholarships
HWSA awards three $1000 scholarships each year
to Houston area female high school players who will be
attending college in the fall. Application deadline is

WPSL season begins May 1
The Houston Stars kick off the 2004 season on
Saturday, May 1 at home against the Elk Grove Pride. The
Stars roster includes former WUSA player Michaella Rooney
and Greek national team player Sophia Smith, who hopes to
represent Greece in the Olympics this August. All home
games will be played at Soccer World Center. For

Keep the WUSA Dream Alive
This initiative will gauge support for the
league as it prepares to return to full operation in

greatest female soccer players will be featured in
festivals this summer: June 17-20 in Blaine, MN and June
24-27 in Carson, CA. Each festival will include two
matches; nearly 100 WUSA players are scheduled to
