WPSL season begins May 1
The Houston Stars kick off the 2004 season on Saturday, May 1 at home against the Elk Grove Pride. The Stars roster includes former WUSA player Michaella Rooney and Greek national team player Sophia Smith, who hopes to represent Greece in the Olympics this August. This initiative will gauge support for the league as it prepares to return to full operation in 2005. Go to
