HFA player roundup Sunday
On Sunday, July 18 at 9 am, Bear Creek field 26, the Houston Football Association will hold a new player roundup for men interested in joining a team in HFA. The format is a casual scrimmage, so please bring both a white and dark shirt. The roundup is free and open to males over age 15. See

Beyond soccer: women's adventure race battles cancer
Austin hosts a Women's Adventure Race on September 5 with fun, beginner-friendly courses, and a festival atmosphere for racers and spectators. Two-women teams will compete in trail running, hiking, mountain biking, mystery events and a water section with a new twist -- teams must create their own watercraft. The event benefits the Young Survival Coalition (
