MLS playoff race
Three teams are battling for the last two
Eastern Conference berths -- D.C. United, the New England
Revolution and Columbus Crew. The Chicago Fire are on the
verge of claiming the No. 1 seed and home-field
advantage, while either United or the Revolution could be
celebrating playoff berths by Saturday. In the West, San
Jose has clinched the No. 1 seed, while the Colorado
Rapids, Kansas City Wizards and Los Angeles Galaxy are
jockeying for playoff seeding. The Western Conference
seedings & semifinal matchups could be determined
this weekend.

US women to face Mexico in Dallas
North Texas State Soccer and the Dallas Burn
present USA vs. Mexico at 3 pm on Sunday, November 2 at
the Cotton Bowl. Tickets are $35 for center reserved and

pared down to ten before balloting begins. "Best
Soccer Bar" honors the top soccer-friendly bar in
the US. You know the place: it's where you watch the U.S.

Saturday at 6 a.m. so you can watch the days
English Premier League offerings. "Best Soccer
Store" honors the best all-around store to buy all
things soccer, from gear for your league to the red-hot
U.S. World Cup jersey.
YMCA high
school soccer
The Weekley Family Y on Stella Link offers high school
soccer on weeknights, 8:30-10 pm, and is open to those in
high school, age 14+. Play until 9:30, then head indoors
for a snack and a chance to hang out with friends. New
this year is the opportunity to be an assistant coach for
one of the youth soccer teams. Cost is $65 for Weekley
Family Y members, otherwise $100. Financial aid is
available for those who qualify. Registration is ongoing.
