Soccer skills clinic for women
Skills clinic for women this Saturday, January 4 at the GOALS field in Spring Branch at 9:30 am -- free to women 30 and older (otherwise $5 per person). RSVP to keeper@rice.edu. Minimum age 16. All skill levels welcome. Map at http://www.hwsa.org/maplinks.html.



HWSA Over 30 season
An over 30 women's season will be played Saturdays at GOALS (Spring Branch) January 11 - February 8. Over 30 teams must submit payment & registration materials ($25 per player) at the clinic on the 4th. Players must be 30 years of age as of January 11, plus each team may have up to 3 players who are 29. Contact Liz Benavidez atebenavidez@sbcglobal.net to find a team. HWSA spring season
Team registration deadline for the spring season is Wednesday, January 8 at the HWSA league meeting. Details online at http://www.hwsa.org/. Teams may sign up after the 8th on a space-available basis. Player registration materials are due Wednesday, January 29. Season begins February 9/10. Details coming soon about a player roundup for people looking for a coed team for spring.


US national teams on TV
The US women begin their 2003 campaign on Sunday the 12th with a match against Japan in San Diego. The game will be televised live on ESPN2 at 3 pm.

The US men take on Canada on Saturday the 18th in Fort Lauderdale at 6:30 pm. The game is available on DirecTV for $19.95.
