Adidas Cup in Houston
Meyer Park in northwest Houston will play host to the u19 women's national teams from Canada, Japan and the U.S., plus a US Youth Soccer ODP squad next week. All three international teams participated in the 2002 u19 Women’s World Championship, with the U.S. edging host Canada, 1-0, with a golden goal. For more info, go to http://www.usyouthsoccer.org.

The adidas Cup is held in conjunction with the Texas Shootout, one of the largest soccer tournaments for youth women. Hosted by the Challenge Club, the Texas Shootout averages 240 teams and more than 300 college scouts each year. The Shootout games will start at 1 pm on Friday, May 30 and end around 5 pm on Sunday, June 1. More info online at http://www.challengesoccer.com.

US Men vs Wales Monday
Preparation for the Confederations Cup next month continues this weekend as the US men face Wales for the first time ever on ESPN2 live at 9pm CT Monday night. US roster includes Landon Donovan, Claudio Reyna, Joe Cannon, Jeff Agoos, Bobby Convey and Earnie Stewart.

WUSA this weekend
San Diego vs. Carolina: 3 pm on PAX
The Spirit will have to face Carolina without star forward Shannon MacMillan, who tore her ACL last weekend. The Spirit have yet to defeat Carolina in six tries, but now they've got Julie "Air Scotland" Fleeting and #1 draft pick Aly Wagner ready to take on scoring demon Danielle Fotopoulos and Carla Overbeck. Rice University Soccer Academy
