The WUSA is coming to Houston
It's official! The first-ever WUSA game in Houston will be Saturday, October 19 at Rice University Track/Soccer Stadium between the Washington Freedom and the Atlanta Beat. Pregame fan fest begins at 3 pm, game starts at 5 pm. The game is hosted by the
Houston Women's Soccer Association. Proceeds benefit HWSA's field development and scholarship funds.

Advance ticket prices are $14 for a single ticket, $50 for a family pack of 4 and $240 for a team pack of 20. Kids under 3 get in free with parent. All seats are general admission. Tickets go on sale to the public Monday, September 16 at locations to be announced; in the meantime you can pre-order tickets online at
http://www.hwsa.org/wusahouston.htm. Tickets purchased this way will be sent via first class mail in early October.


Soccer on TV
The US women's national team takes on Scotland for the first time Sunday, September 8 at noon on ESPN. Pregame roster includes World Cup stars Tiffeny Milbrett, Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Briana Scurry, Brandi Chastain and Shannon MacMillan, as well as up-and-comers Abby Wambach (WUSA rookie of the year), Danielle Slaton and Heather Mitts.
