9. Wear shinguards and cleats, and bring $5. Minimum age
is 16. Coaches, balls and refreshments provided. All
skill levels are welcome.
Over 30 women's soccer
Every January, HWSA offers a mini-season for
women 30 & over. Games are played on Saturdays,
January 11 - February 8. Registration is January 4.

Cost is $25 per person, which includes field costs but
not referee fees or uniforms. Teams will have the
opportunity to qualify for over 30 women's South Texas
State Cup, which will be held in Houston February 15-16.
The over 30 season does not conflict with the regular
HWSA spring season for women.
Over 40? Female? Play soccer in Hawai'i!
The Veterans Cup, the sanctioned national
championship for over 40 and over 50 men and women, is
held every summer. HWSA is organizing an over 40 women's
team for the 2003 competition -- which will be in Hawai'i
August 6-10. The HWSA team will compete in the January
over 30 league as well as the spring Fort Bend over 30

Texas schools in the NCAA soccer tourneys
This weekend the Texas A&M women take on
UCLA in California in the round of 16 of the NCAA
tournament. If Texas A&M makes it to the elite 8,
they'll most likely face perennial champ North Carolina.

The final four for the women's tourney will be held in

The first round of the men's tourney kicks off this
weekend. No. 5 SMU has a first-round bye, so will face
the winner of Central Florida/Florida International next
Wednesday in Dallas (Westcott Field) at 8 pm.
SMU hosts the men's final four in Dallas on December 13
